What are STCs? Small-scale Technology Certificates are created based on the expected electricity generation of your solar system over the scheme's remaining life. Bigger system, sunnier zone, more certificates. The scheme deliberately phases down each year — the longer you wait, the less your rebate is worth.
How much is it worth? For most household systems in our region, STCs knock $3,000–$6,000 off the upfront cost. All the prices in our system size guide already have the STC rebate deducted.
